Volunteers are the life line of a non-profit like ours. We depend on countless people everyday from the community who give their time to help us cook and package hundreds of meals and snacks, pick up donations, distribute supplies and more.
Donation IntakeEvery day hundreds of pounds of food donations come in to our dock from our multiple food rescue partners. We strive to make use of everything that comes in, and share it back out with our various front-line feeding community partners.
IS THIS FOR YOU: If you enjoy organizing things, this is a job for you. Our donation intake volunteers work with our receiving clerk to unload, weigh, track and sort these donations. This position does require lifting of items up to 50 pounds. HOURS: Monday through Friday, 11 am to 3 pm. |
Kitchen PrepWe produce up to 1,000 hot meals in our headquarters kitchen daily. Our kitchen prep volunteers work on a variety of tasks, from prepping food with our team of professional chefs, to packaging meals and making snack bags or sandwiches!
IS THIS FOR YOU: If you love to be in the kitchen chopping, peeling, packaging, this is a good role for you. Our kitchen prep volunteers work with our chefs and packaging manager. No experience required. HOURS: Monday through Friday, 9 am to noon & 1 to 4 pm. |

DriversEvery week day we pick up food donations from our restaurant partners, bakers, Dare to Care and other donors. Our daily driver(s) make these rounds and deliver to our kitchen headquarters.
IS THIS FOR YOU? If you like to do good things while driving around town, listening to music in your car, this would be a fun role for you.
