Rhona Bowles Kamar is a Louisville restaurateur and chef who founded Feed Louisville
in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
She was the former chef and co-owner of Ramsi’s Café on the World and previously owned Raising Hope Organic Farm, a USDA-certified organic farm. Rhona grew up on a farm in rural Kentucky and is a passionate advocate for local farmers, health equity, and food justice. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky.
She has served on the board of the Organic Association of Kentucky and was a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier. She was the recipient of the 2025 Partners in Philanthropy Non-Profit Visionary Leader award, 2021 League of Women Voters President’s Award, and the 2019 Today’s Woman Magazine Most Admired Woman.
She is currently a member of the World Central Kitchen Corps of Chefs. She is the mother of three children.
